| 60mmピッチ縦フェーダー Well-considered 60mm pitch  ●60mmピッチへの拘り 2007年発売のベスタクス社最後の4チャンネル業務用ミキサーのPMC-580。このPMC-580までは、ヒップホップ用2チャンネルミキサーを除き、DJミキサーのチャンネルの縦フェーダーは、「60mm」がベストとされていました。 100mmでは長すぎ、45mmでは短かったのです。 しかし、同社がDJ用MIDIコントローラーに経営の舵を切り始めたころから、世界も一気に変化し、縦フェーダーの微妙なレベル調整をしながらのロングミックスよりも、ソフトウェアを使ったフィルターパフォーマンスや、ループ、サンプリングショット、オートBPMミックスなど、DJ主導のリアルエディットプレイが主となり、楽曲も溢れるように増え入手も容易となり、派手なエディットプレイを想定したものさえ出てきて、スタイルが大きく変わりました。 また、自宅スタジオでのソフトウェアによるエディットの仕込みも容易となり、持ち込んだオリジナルエディットの楽曲を流すだけのDJさえ出現。 そんな中、フェーダー部品メーカーの状況も変化し、60mmフェーダーのラインナップが次々と生産完了。 DJメーカーとしても、高性能な60mmフェーダーは入手困難となり、また、PCDJスタイルに合わせ、縦フェーダーもクロスフェーダーと同じ45mm仕様が当たり前となりました。 メーカーが45mm縦フェーダーのミキサーしか提供しない限り、楽曲を尊重した微妙なレベル加減の職人的なミックスプレイが再び行われることはないでしょう。 鳳凰は、DJのエディットパフォーマンスで会場を盛り上げることよりも、楽曲の良さを良いサウンドで伝えて共感し、楽曲のらしさを残した職人的なミックスプレイを期待しているミキサーです。 そのためには、縦フェーダーは、入手困難であっても60mm仕様にする必要がありました。 フェーダー部品メーカーが供給する60mmフェーダーの中でこの鳳凰に合ったものを特注仕様で使用しています。また、取り付けに対しては、職人的なDJプレイができるセットアップが施されています。 Until PNC-580 which is 4 channels business use mixer released in 2007 came out, input fader was thought 60mm was the best for its range expect for hip-hop use 2 channel mixers. 100mm was too long and 45mm was too short. However, after the time Vestax started to produce DJ use MIDI controllers, the DJ industry changed suddenly and the real edit play such as using software for filter performances, loop, sampling shot, and auto BPM became popular rather than controlling input fader for long mix. The songs increased and were obtained easily, DJ style has changed dramatically. In addition, editing by software at home became easily and DJ who plays original edit songs emerged. Because of the circumstance, fader part manufacturers changed and stopped producing 60mm faders. 60mm fader is now hard to obtain and the range of input fader also became 45mm. unless manufacturers produce only 45mm input faders, professional mix play by exquisite skills will never be performed. Phoenix(=Houou) is expected to deliver the songs itself with high quality sounds rather than exciting people by edit performance. Because of that reason, input fader had to be 60mm even it was hard to obtain. Input fader equipped with Phoenix is special order specification. And its setting is designed for professional DJ play. ●縦スライド操作にしっくりくるノブ形状 Comfortable knob shapes for slide operation  縦フェーダーのノブは、とっさに指でつまんで上下方向に動かすことや、ゆっくりめのフェードイン/アウトのしっくり来る操作を想定したオリジナルデザインとなっています。 （クロスフェーダーも同じノブですが、スクラッチプレイでの操作でも実際のプレイヤーが使用して違和感がないことを確認済です。） Input fader knobs are designed for the both of sudden operation and slow fade in/out. (cross fader is the same knob and confirmed to play comfortable by a professional player.) ●マイコンによるカーブコントロール  チャンネルフェーダーのカーブは、高性能プログラムを書き込んだマイコンによる最新技術のVCAコントロールにより、プレイスタイルに合わせた様々な設定です。 デジタル技術は使っていますが、上のイメージ図で分かる通り、音声信号の増幅度を変化させる回路は、プレミアムディスクリート回路であり、ICチップの使用はなく、AD/DA変換も行われていません。 音質重視のアナログ回路を最新のデジタル手法でコントロールするという高次元な技術の融合が図られています。 具体的なカーブは、こちらのページをご覧ください。 Channel fader curve is designed for each play style by the latest VCA control made by high-programed my computer. It is digitalized but as you can confirm the image above, amplifying sound signal is performed by premium discrete circuit and there is no IC chip and AD/DA conversion executed.
